Artist, illustrator and the creative behind Sassy Sunrise

I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember. With a background in Fashion and Graphic Design and more than 20 years spent creating with everything from watercolour and gouache to acrylics, oils and digital illustration, creativity has always found its way into what I do.

Sassy Sunrise brings together so many of the things I love — art, fashion, colour, beautiful details and people.

My live illustrations are loose, colourful and fashion-inspired, created quickly in the moment to capture a little of someone’s personality and style. At weddings and celebrations, I love that the experience becomes more than just a drawing. Guests get to watch their portrait come to life and leave with something personal that was created especially for them.

And it doesn’t stop at weddings.

I love working with fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands to create live illustration experiences for launches, activations, VIP events and creative collaborations. There’s something really exciting about taking the personality of a brand and turning it into an experience people can interact with, share and take home.

A little about Sassy Sunrise

Sassy Sunrise is about creating art that feels happy, stylish and beautifully imperfect.

No two illustrations are exactly the same. They’re painted by hand, in the moment, with all the little brushstrokes and quirks that make original artwork special.

Based on the Gold Coast, I illustrate at weddings and events across Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Tweed Coast and Byron Bay, and I’m always happy to chat about travelling a little further for the right event.
